Katseye postponed its sold-out Detroit concert at Little Caesars Arena on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, because member Megan Skiendiel was unwell and unable to perform. The call came roughly half an hour before showtime, with many fans already in their seats. No makeup date has been announced yet, but Detroit tickets will be valid for the new date, and the group’s next scheduled show is at Chicago’s United Center on Thursday, Nov. 5.
Here’s what happened, what Katseye and the venue said, how this fits into a tour already running without two members, and what Detroit ticket holders should do now.
What happened in Detroit
The Detroit date was meant to be Katseye’s Michigan debut and one of the North American stops on The Wildworld Tour, the group’s first arena tour. According to Billboard, doors had already opened and fans were seated when a message about the postponement went up on the arena’s big screens, roughly 40 minutes before the scheduled start. Entertainment Weekly put it at about 30 minutes before showtime and noted that photos shared on social media showed a packed arena when the news broke.
Billboard also reported, citing sources at the show, that the group held a VIP soundcheck earlier in the day without Megan, who was reportedly resting ahead of the concert.
What Katseye said
The group explained the decision in a post on Instagram Stories, quoted by Rolling Stone and others:
“We’re so sorry to share that tonight’s show at Little Caesars Arena has been postponed due to illness. Unfortunately, Megan is unwell and unable to perform tonight, and we want to make sure she has the time she needs to rest and recover.”
They added: “We know so many of you have traveled, made plans, and been looking forward to tonight. We are incredibly disappointed that we won’t get to see you, and we’re truly sorry for the inconvenience.” The illness itself has not been specified, and there’s no reason to speculate about it.
What the venue said
Little Caesars Arena operator 313 Presents told fans a new date will be announced and that Tuesday’s tickets will be valid for it, with an email to follow, according to WXYZ 7 News Detroit. Its statement read in part: “We sincerely apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience, especially to those who traveled to be with us tonight. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support.”
Is the Chicago show on Nov. 5 still happening?
As of Wednesday, Nov. 4, nothing has been announced to change it. The United Center event page still lists Katseye’s Wildworld Tour stop for Thursday, Nov. 5, at 8 p.m., with gates opening at 6:30 p.m. and floor ticket holders entering through the South Atrium. Billboard framed Chicago as the next booked show, assuming Megan recovers in time.
If you have Chicago tickets, the practical advice is simple: plan to go, but check Katseye’s social accounts, the United Center’s channels and your ticketing email on the day. Detroit showed that a change can come very late.
What Detroit ticket holders should do now
- Keep your tickets. The show was postponed, not canceled, and the venue says Nov. 3 tickets will be honored at the rescheduled date.
- Watch your email. 313 Presents said ticket holders will get an email with more information.
- Don’t resell or toss anything yet. Wait for the official makeup date before making plans or deciding whether you can attend.
- Ask about refunds once the date is out. The venue’s statements so far haven’t laid out a refund policy, so if the new date doesn’t work for you, check the email and your ticketing account for options when details arrive.
- Keep travel receipts handy. Plenty of fans traveled for this show. Hotel and transport costs are separate from your ticket, so check those bookings’ own change or cancellation terms.
A tour already running without two members
The Detroit postponement lands during an unusual stretch for the group. Katseye is currently performing as a four-piece in North America, because two of its six members are on breaks.
Sophia Laforteza
Sophia, the group’s leader, stepped away in August to focus on her mental health. In an Oct. 8 statement quoted by EW, Hybe and Geffen said she “will not be participating in THE WILDWORLD TOUR in North America, or promotional activities for the remainder of this year,” and that they look forward to welcoming her back in 2027. Rolling Stone reports she’s set to rejoin the group in January.
Manon Bannerman
Manon has been away from the group since February to focus on her health and well-being, the other members announced at the time. Rolling Stone reports that no official date has been set for her return, and she isn’t part of the North American dates.
Megan’s earlier injury
This isn’t the first time a member’s health has changed Katseye’s plans this year. Rolling Stone notes that the group pulled out of Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields Festival earlier in 2026 after Megan sprained her ankle.
For fans, the takeaway is that the group and its label appear to be leaning toward rest over pushing through, which is frustrating on the night but easier to understand when you look at the year as a whole. What’s left on the Wildworld Tour
EW reports the tour opened in Dublin in September and has already covered Europe, Canada and the U.S. East Coast. The North American leg began Oct. 13, according to Rolling Stone, and the 2026 dates wrap up on Nov. 28 with the second of two nights at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City.
After a roughly two-month break, the tour moves to Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Billboard lists the opener as Jan. 27, 2027, at Yokohama Arena in Japan. That’s also the window when Sophia is expected back, so the 2027 run could be the first time in a while fans see more than four members on stage.
Arena tours of this size are a big part of why in-person live events are booming again, and a late postponement shows how much rides on every single night when thousands of fans have traveled in.
